Born in Jersey City, New Jersey and raised in the Lowcountry of Bluffton, South Carolina, Derrick brings together big-city grit and southern work ethic. He launched The Man Transport as a solo operation, gaining hands-on experience across every aspect of the industry and building the company from the ground up with integrity and accountability at the core.

As the business grew, it evolved into a family operation, with his daughter and son now working alongside him—combining decades of operational knowledge with modern strategy, structure, and forward-thinking execution.
